Southern Region Water Board (SRWB) has emerged as one of the most outstanding employers during the Employer of the Year Awards gala by the Employers Consultative Association of Malawi (ECAMA).
SRWB scooped the first position as the Best Employer of the year under the social Protection Category.
The utility service provider also got the second best performer under the Industrial Relations and Employee Engagement category.
SRWB CEO, Duncan Chambamba, attributed the recognition through the awards to team work and hardworking spirit by members of staff at all levels.
“I am extremely delighted that other bodies like ECAMA do recognise our general performance due to professional conduct of entire team and management, which has resulted into great improvement in service delivery to the satisfaction of our customers and clients,” Chambamba said.
ECAMA’s Employer of the Year Awards initiative aims at promoting and encouraging best practices among employers in the country.
