President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has advised the newly sworn-in Minister of Labour, Vitumbiko Mumba, to serve Malawians with urgency and dedication to foster development.
The President made the remarks at Mzuzu State Lodge during the swearing-in ceremony of Mumba, who has assumed the role of Minister of Labour.
In his speech, President Chakwera emphasised the importance of collaboration with other cabinet members in ensuring the effective running of government affairs.
The newly-appointed minister expressed gratitude to the President for entrusting him with the role and pledged to selflessly serve Malawians.
Mumba was appointed by President Chakwera on Thursday following the resignation of Agnes NyaLonje.
