FCB Nyasa Big Bullets coach Kalisto Pasuwa says he is still working on the inconsistency of the team this season as the clock ticks for the Blantyre derby against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers in the round of 16 of the FDH Bank Cup at Kamuzu Stadium. The People’s Team are coming off a 2-1 away defeat to Karonga United in the TNM Super League.
The 2023 quadruple winners have played 14 games, winning four, losing two, and registering eight draws in the league, a bad start not seen in eight years. In a pre-match interview ahead of the big fixture, Pasuwa expressed his surprise at the team’s current form but emphasized his efforts to instil a winning mentality.
Bullets have received a boost ahead of Malawi’s big fixture with the return of forward Ephraim Kondowe and defender Collin Mujuru, who resumed training after recovering from an ankle injury and tight muscles respectively.
However, the Red Army will face the Nomads without defender Clyde Senaji and the midfield duo of Ernest Petro and Ronald Chitiyo, who are not yet fit as they continue doing light training.
