Draw for the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA Qualifier will take place tomorrow in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Malawi will host the tournament from August 15-24 at Mpira Stadium in Blantyre, with Ascent Soccer Academy, a source of Scorchers’ players, representing the country.
According to a statement from COSAFA, only the top team from the qualifier will advance to the continental finals.
COSAFA will have two clubs in the eight-team event, as the reigning champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, have automatically qualified.
This format mirrors the 2022 setup, when Sundowns qualified as holders and were joined by Zambia’s Green Buffaloes.
