Partners in Hope opens dialysis and ICU units for improved healthcare

Patients with kidney diseases and other serious health issues now have a new option for critical care services with the launch of dialysis and Intensive Care Units (ICU) at Partners in Hope in Lilongwe.

Speaking during the official launch of the two units, Deputy Minister of Health Halima  Daud, said Kamuzu Central  Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital are overwhelmed and the new units will help ease the burden.

Executive Director of Partners in Hope, Dr Agness Moses, said the opening of the units symbolises their commitment to meeting the health needs of the people and dedication towards addressing critical gaps within the health care system in the country.

The dialysis unit is equipped with five state-of-the-art modern machines.
