President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has held discussions with the Prime Minister of Iceland Katrina Jakobsdottir.
The two leaders held the discussions at the UN Headquarters in New York, USA, where world leaders have gathered for a high-level United Nations General Assembly.
The Government of Iceland has supported Malawi in several development projects, including areas of education and food security.
President Chakwera is in New York for the 78th UNGA, where among others he is geared to court potential investors and donors to support Malawi’s course in dealing with the impacts of natural disasters such as cyclones.
