About 105 girls who formed part of a two-week Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics camp at the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) have described the initiative as inspiring.
The girls were drawn from different secondary schools and one of them, Tamara Ngwelekwe of Matapwata Secondary School in Thyolo, said the camp has revived their interest to focus more on science subjects.
MUST Vice Chancellor, Professor Adress Malata, said the camp has proven that girls have potential in the science field if well supported.
During the two-week camp, the girls had a chance to visit EGENCO’s Nkula hydropower plant
