Jean Sendeza, the Minister of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare, has called for strong collaboration and coordination between Capital Hill and Non Governmental Organisations to tackle challenges facing children in the country.
The Minister made the remarks on Friday during the commemoration of the Day of an African Child at Chitala School Ground in the area of Senior Chief Khombedza in Salima District.
Sendeza said for government to improve the welfare of children, there is need for a multi-sectoral approach.
She praised NGOs’ efforts across various sectors, noting their critical role in supporting government’s initiatives.
