The leaders of the Malawi Congress Party and UTM have agreed to enhance their working relationship and serve the country for the greater good of the Malawian people within the Tonse Alliance framework.
This has been disclosed in a joint statement by the two parties after their meeting on Thursday, 7 July 2022.
The statement says the sole objective of the meeting was to determine how the two parties will work together in serving the nation better.
The meeting was attended by the Presidents of both parties and their delegations.
The two parties have also resolved to uphold a policy of direct and regular engagement to harness their relationship and accomplish the vision towards which they first agreed to serve the Malawi nation together.
