Police in Lilongwe have arrested Emmanuel Jonah, known as ‘Nana’ among his peers, who has been evading arrest since December 2023.

Nana is alleged to have orchestrated the theft of 61 motorcycles and 84 bales of second-hand clothes, totalling K299 million at a warehouse belonging to a Chinese national in the capital city, Lilongwe.

Lilongwe Police Spokesperson, Hastings Chigalu, said the suspect was arrested on Sunday at Luwani Estate in Neno, where he was hiding.

Meanwhile, the law enforcers have also arrested Lilian Manda for allegedly receiving and selling stolen goods from Nana and his associates.
