Karonga United have registered their first win in the 2024 TNM Super League, beating Baka City by a goal to nil during a match that took place at Karonga Stadium.
Blessings Mwalilino who came in as a substitute during the second half inflicted the damage to the home team, Baka City, after receiving a flicking header from Mwisho Youngson, which Mwalilino connected into the back of net at the 65th minute.
Speaking in a post match interview, Karonga United Coach Travor Kajawa said he was happy for winning the match and hailed his boys for the gallant fight.
Assistant Coach for Baka City Davie Muyombe said despite the loss, he was impressed with the performance of his team during the first league game.
Mwalilino was voted player of the match.
