Kabaza operators urged to comply with road traffic regulation

Dedza Police Traffic Section Head Inspector Finai Mwaighogha has challenged motorbike-taxi operators to adhere to road traffic rules to reduce road accidents in Dedza District.

Mwaighogha said said motorbike accidents are a concern because many people have lost their lives or been injured.

He was speaking on Friday when distributing 200 traffic registration cards to Kabaza operators.

“We talked to road traffic directorate officials to come to Dedza with their mobile services to support Kabaza operators with the process of getting their driving license at affordable prices, costs from K350,000 to K105,000,” he said.

Police are distributing cards to people who applied for driving licences and paid K10, 000 for card processing.

Dedza Kabaza Operators Association Secretary, Robert Ramses, commended the road traffic directorate for the initiative.
