Secretary General (SG) of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies ( IFRC) Jagannath Chapagain is in the country for a four day visit.
He arrived through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in Lilongwe.
While in the country, Chapagain is, among others, expected to pay a courtesy call on President Dr Lazarus Chakwera, share notes with senior government officials on cholera and climate change as well as appreciate the construction of houses in the Southern Region under Tropical Cyclone Freddy Emergency Appeal.
IFRC is the world’s largest humanitarian network and supports more than 191 countries.
