Gaborone United Ladies have this afternoon qualified for the final of the Women’s CAF Champions League COSAFA Qualifiers after defeating Herentals Queens 1-0 at Mpira Stadium in Blantyre, courtesy of Yaone Modise’s strike.
Gaborone United will now await the outcome of the match between the University of Western Cape and Young Buffaloes, scheduled to kick off later today at 15:00 hours at the same venue, to determine their final opponent.
Earlier in the tournament, Gaborone United demonstrated their tenacity by defeating Malawi’s Ascent Academy 3-2 in a Group B encounter, knocking the hosts out of the competition.
The final winner will go on to represent COSAFA in the prestigious continental tournament.
