Mobile network provider TNM has urged festival organisers in the country to embrace electronic ticket-selling systems, saying this has the potential to promote accountability.
Brand and Marketing Manager for TNM, Madaliso Jonazi, made the call in Blantyre when the company donated K5 million to Ku Mingoli Bash organisers.
He said it is easier to track the number of tickets sold through e-ticketing platforms than those sold physically.
During the event, TNM and Ku Mingoli Bash organisers signed a partnership, which will make it possible for people to buy tickets for this year’s bash using the TNM Mpamba platform.
Shadreck Kalukusha, founder of Sound Addicts and promoter of the bash, said the money will help to ensure that they have good production and sound setup during this year’s show.
The 2024 Ku Mingoli bash will take place in Lilongwe on August 3 and will feature Malawi’s top musicians such as Tay Grin and Patience Namadingo.
