Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DoDMA) has launched five Emergency Operation Centres in the country to improve coordination of disaster management response.
Speaking at the official launch which is taking place at one of the centres in Zomba, Commissioner for Disaster, Charles Kalemba, said the centres will be a meeting point for decision-makers in times of emergency and where all support materials would be kept from all well-wishers.
The other centres are in Karonga, Salima, Phalombe and Dedza districts.
