On Sunday, at Dedza Town Hall, Osborne Nyirongo was elected the Chairperson for Dedza Civil Society Organisations Network.
Nyirongo said they will work as a team to address issues affecting the citizens of the district, complementing the government’s efforts in various developmental works.
Outgoing Chairperson Heston Nalikole congratulated the new members and said he will support their operations.
Programme Officer for Lilongwe and Dedza at the National Initiative for Civic Education (NICE) Public Trust, Daniel Malango, has pledged to support the newly elected members with capacity building so that they should effectively discharge their duties.
