President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has expressed gratitude to northern region chiefs for their condolences following the death of former Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima in a tragic plane crash on 10 June 2024.
At a ceremony held at Mzuzu State Lodge, the chiefs from Rumphi, Nkhatabay, Chitipa and Karonga districts gathered to offer their support to the President.
Dr Chakwera thanked the chiefs for embodying the Malawian spirit of unity and solidarity in times of sorrow.
Paramount Chief Kyungu of Karonga and Chitipa urged Malawians to stand with the President during this difficult time.
