Chakwera leaves Lilongwe for Blantyre

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, has left Lilongwe for Blantyre to attend this year’s Kamuzu Day celebrations.

Kamuzu Day, observed annually on May 14th, honours the late founding President Dr Hastings Kamuzu Banda, with national prayers organised by government.

The event which will be held at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre will feature various activities including a football match between Silver Strikers and Mighty Wanderers.

The President was seen off at the Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe by Minister of Information and digitalization Moses Kunkuyu, various government and Malawi Congress Party – MCP officials among others.
