Voter registration supervisors urged to uphold legal standards

Nkhata Bay District Commissioner, Rodgers Newa, has called on voter registration supervisors in Nkhata Bay District to operate within the legal framework to maintain the integrity and credibility of the electoral process.

Newa made the appeal on Tuesday at St Maria Gollet, during a monitoring session of the voter registration supervisors’ training. The training prepares supervisors for the second phase of the voter registration exercise, set to begin on 9 November 2024.

“As you head to various centres, please carry out your duties within the law, as your work is underpinned by a legal framework,” Newa advised the supervisors.

One of the supervisors, Andrew Sindila, noted that the training has provided them with essential skills and guidelines to perform effectively.
