President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is at St Peter and Paul Cathedral of the Anglican Church in Mangochi where the installation of Right Reverend William Mchombo as the third Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of the Upper Shire is taking place.
Dr Chakwera was welcomed by a procession of Bishops, church priests and representatives of different guilds within the Anglican Church.
Bishop Mchombo replaces Brighton Vita Malasa, who left office in 2022.
