Flames Second Assistant Coach, Eliya Kananji, says the introduction of the Castel Challenge Cup in rural areas can unearth raw youthful talent that could potentially be featured in the national team.
Kananji said this at Karonga Community Ground after the match between Ntchowo FC and Meiru FC in the Castel Challenge Cup.
“Let me commend Castel Malawi Limited for coming up with the trophy in rural areas,” he said.
Meanwhile, the General Secretary for the Karonga District Football Association, Taniel Mwakaghe, has urged teams in the Super League and Premier League to watch the games and scout for potential players.
