Over 400 runners are set to take part in this year’s Blantyre 42.195 kilometre race on Saturday, a significant increase from last year’s 97 participants.
According to the chairperson of the event, Limbani Matola, this year, participants will not be required to pay a registration fee.
Last year, Grevazio Mpani and Nalicy Chirwa took top honours in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.
The race will be live on MBC TV1 and TV2 On the Go. K10 million is the prize money for the race.
