President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has interacted with the Standing Committee of the CCAP General Assembly at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe today, where the delegation presented a book chronicling the Synod’s journey over the past century.
They also briefed Dr Chakwera on the forthcoming Centenary celebrations scheduled for August 2024.
In his address, President Chakwera, who penned the foreword to the book, expressed gratitude to the delegation and the church for their continued engagement with his government.
Moderator of the CCAP General Assembly, Right Reverend Biswick Nkhoma, thanked Dr Chakwera for always regarding the church as a partner in development.
The meeting was attended by the Moderator and other high-ranking officials, including Reverend Dr Gertrude Kapuma, Deputy Secretary General, and Reverend Dr Humphreys Zgambo, Moderator of the Blantyre Synod.
