National Bank of Malawi has hailed the Malawi Law Society for supporting the legal profession in the country in advancing the rule of law, which it says helps in creating a conducive environment for businesses such as banks.
Senior Legal Manager for the Bank Mercy Mulele made the remarks in Blantyre when the National Bank of Malawi donated K3 million towards this year’s Malawi Law Society-MLS Annual General Meeting-AGM.
Chief Executive Officer for MLS Chrispin Ngunde said the Society needs support from strategic planners to achieve its intended purpose.
He hailed the bank for showing keen interest in matters of national importance.
The AGM, slated for Mangochi from 21st to 24th March 2024, will be held under the theme ‘Interrogating Malawi Electoral System towards 2025 General Election’.
