African Development Bank (AfDB) has given Malawi $23 Million in direct Budgetary support.
Betchani Tchereni, Secretary to the Treasury, broke the news through his facebook page.
This is on top of other direct budgetary support that the country has received from development partners such as the World Bank.
While confirming the development when contacted by MBC Digital, Tchereni however could not be drawn to comment, saying he will do so at an appropriate time.
Government has been working on fiscal policies, which have seen it regaining donor trust for direct budgetary supports after years of suspension.
