GOVT HAS NO NEW CONTRACT WITH SATTAR’S COMPANIES AND ENTITIES

Minister of Information, Moses Kunkuyu, says government has not entered into any new Contract with Zuneth Sattar related business entities and that there are no any plans to do so.

The minister, who is also Chief Government spokesperson, is addressing the media in Lilongwe in the company of Minister of Defence, Harry Mkandawire and Chief of Legal Services in the Malawi Defence Force, Colonel Gilbert Mitawa.

He was presenting a statement on the allegations pertaining to government’s continued dealing with Zuneth Sattar.

He says the objective of the briefing, among others issues, is to enable government clarify on matters that appeared in The Daily Times newspaper of Monday, January 29, 2024 titled ‘Government Sattar in $19 Million Arms Deal’.

He said government has noted with great concern the proliferation of misinformation from the media to the general public on the alleged dealings with Sattar.
