Dedza South legislator Ishmael Onani is vying for the position of Director of Youth in the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) as it heads towards an elective convention in August this year.
Onani said he expects the youth to support him since he plans to empower them.
“I am confident I will be able to tackle the challenges the youth are facing, whether social or economic,” he observed.
Meanwhile, political analyst Liyati Phiri urged political parties to provide a conducive environment for youths to actively participate and take up leadership positions.
