Tecno Mobile, a dealer for global smartphone brand, has stepped in to aid families affected by floods in Nkhotakota District.
Thomas Siveliwa, Tecno Mobile Malawi’s Public Relations Officer, said the support to at least 30 families was their way of giving back to the community.
“When we heard about the floods, we knew we had to help,” Siveliwa said.
The help from Tecno Mobile Malawi has been welcomed by the affected families, who are working hard to recover from the disaster. Annette Loti, one of those who received aid, said the donation would ease their situation for the next few days as they try to recover.
Emmanuel Mvula, the Community Development Officer for Nkhotakota District Council, highlighted the importance of the assistance, adding that at least 100 people at Demwe Camp in Dwangwa will benefit from the aid.
