The 2023 Castel Challenge Cup Awards ceremony is underway at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre.
Minister of Youth and Sports, Uchizi Mkandawire was among those expected to be in attendance.
Football Association of Malawi President, Fleetwood Haiya, has already arrived at the venue.
The following categories are up for awards:
Goalkeeper of the Tournament:
– Richard Chimbamba (FCB Nyasa Big Bullets)
– Pilirani Mapira (Silver Strikers)
– Rahman John (Bangwe All Stars)
Player of the Tournament:
– Hassan Kajoke, Lanjesi Nkhoma (FCB Nyasa Big Bullets)
– Patrick Macheso (Silver Strikers)
Discovery of the Tournament:
– Talandira Chigaula, Emmanuel Savieli (Bangwe All Stars)
– Glem Lemera (Chitipa United)
The top goal scorer award has already been decided, with six players tied on five goals each.
They are Mphatso Philimon, Peter Kasonga, Chiukepo Msowoya, Emmanuel Savieli, Patrick Macheso, and Gastin Simkonda.
