YNACC and CCDR launch community sanitation campaign in Lilongwe

Youth Network for Adaptation of Climate Change (YNACC), in partnership with the Centre for Child Development and Research (CCDR) and community leaders, have launched a community sanitation campaign in Area 25, Lilongwe.

The initiative began with training sessions for primary school students and community members on environmental awareness and hygiene practices.

The campaign was highlighted by a major cleanup at the Area 25 Sungwi business area, where community members, leaders, and students worked together to clear trash and sweep the streets, helping Lilongwe achieve its goal of a cleaner and a more hygienic city.

Rodwell Kachapira, Director of YNAC, emphasized the environmental and health impacts of litter, particularly in densely populated areas, during the launch.
