World Bank representative Ivan Drabek says he is impressed with the USD 500 million funded Social Support for Resilient Livelihoods Project (SSRLP) -Tidzidalire which began in 2021.
Drabek made the remarks at Mngongonda Catchment Area in Traditional Authority Chadza in Lilongwe after appreciating some of the activities being implemented under the project.
Drabek said, “The World Bank is assured that the investment has paid off.”
Bayison Chikhute, one of the beneficiaries of the project asked the World Bank and Government of Malawi to extend the project to other areas so that other people can benefit to have stable livelihoods.
The Tidzidalire Project is a five-year project that seeks to improve resilience among the vulnerable population in Malawi and strengthen the national platform for safety nets.
