The UN Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP Regional Bureau Director for Africa, Ahunna Eziakonwa, arrives in Malawi today for a three-day visit.
During her visit, Eziakonwa aims to strengthen the UN’s partnership with Malawi by addressing key issues and exploring collaborative avenues for socio-economic progress.
Among her crucial engagements are meetings with President Dr Lazarus Chakwera and officials from the Malawi Electoral Commission.
Eziakonwa will also attend the inauguration of the University Innovation Pod (UniPOD) at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Science.
The UniPOD is an innovative initiative that is expected to foster academic and technological advancements, aligning with the UN’s commitment to sustainable development.
