Parliamentarian for Ntcheu-North, Lymon Zimphondo, has called on the public to support the Malawi Congress Party-led government to accelerate the development of the country.
Zimphondo said President Lazarus Chakwera is addressing the challenges that people are facing and as such needs all the support he can get.
“Our government is addressing challenges affecting people, the issues of safety net programmes and the social-cash transfer, ” he said.
He was speaking at Thumbo Community Day Secondary School ground in the area of Traditional Authority Masasa in Ntcheu District.
Group Village Headman Khwiya asked for more support to address the food challenges.
“With the dry spells experienced this year, many people are food insecure. We are asking the government to assist people in my community,” Khwiya said.
