BEACH SOCCER ASSOCIATION FEELS NEGLECTED

Beach Soccer Association has expressed concern over the conduct of Football Association of Malawi for delaying the release of funds meant for the administration of beach soccer activities in the country.

The Association’s President, Gift Chimbalanga, told MBC that as an association they are failing to kickstart the 2023 beach soccer season due to lack of funding.

“While other associations commenced the new season, we are still inactive.

“Initially, we had planned to kick off the new season in July. Sadly, up to date, we are failing to roll because there are no funds,” said Chimbalanga.

Meanwhile, FAM Executive Member, Felistus Dossi, expressed ignorance on the concerns but was quick to say that the executive will look into the matter.

Dossi said FAM desires to see beach soccer grow to greater heights.
