Ministry of Local Government has announced that Sub-Traditional Authority Mbera of Balaka District has died.
Late Mbera, real name Wailesi Mbwana, who was born on January 6 in 1933, died peacefully at his home in the early hours of Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
He was installed as STA Mbera on August 17, 2017 and worked to promote the well-being and development of his people.
STA Mbera is survived by a wife and four children.
His remains will be laid to rest on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at his Mbera Headquarters in Balaka.
