‘Social Cash Transfer Programme will reach vulnerable people’

Minister of Gender, Jean Sendeza, says the government is working to ensure that Social Cash Transfer programme reaches the most needy and vulnerable households in the country.

Sendeza made the remarks after visiting beneficiaries in the area of Senior Chief Mavwere in Mchinji District.

She said the government is currently validating the list of beneficiaries to ensure that the elderly, people with disabilities and all deserving individuals are included in the programme.

Member of Parliament for Mchinji South, Agness Nkusa Nkhoma, expressed satisfaction with the way the programme has impacted lives of her constituents.
