Silver Strikers are on the verge of finishing the first round unbeaten in the TNM Super League, with only two games remaining.
The Central Bankers secured the top spot for the first half of the league after a convincing 5-0 win over Mzuzu City Hammers.
In an interview, Silver’s coach Peter Mponda, said that his assessment of the team’s performance is done on a game-by-game basis despite their unbeaten streak.
On Sunday, Silver will face FOMO at home before concluding the first round with an away game against Moyale Barracks.
The Area 47-based side now has 33 points from 13 matches, with only 2 draws, placing them 9 points above second-placed Mighty Mukuru Wanderers.
Last season, Silver finished second in the league with 57 points, three points behind champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
