Salima Sugar Company has started delivering maize produced from its Megafarm in Salima to the National Food Reserve Agency (NRFA) in Lilongwe.
Executive Chairperson of the company, Wester Kosamu, says they are pursuing large scale maize production besides sugar production to support the government’s effort in ensuring food security in the country.
According to Kosamu, they will deliver over 90 tonnes of maize to NFRA.
