The National Moon Sighting Committee has announced the sighting of the new Moon for Ramadhan.
Speaking earlier, spokesperson of the committee, Sheikh Dinala Chabulika, urged Musilims in the country to, during the Ramadhan period, extend a helping hand to those in need, particularly those affected by hunger.
Muslims in Malawi will begin observing Ramadhan on Tuesday, 12 March.
