Preparations are underway for the Karonga-Chitipa Cultural Festival, set to take place from 18th to 19th October 2024, at Mbande Hill in Karonga.
Speaking during a press briefing in Lilongwe, the festival’s National Chairperson, Malumbo Mwasinga said the festival aims to preserve and promote the culture and traditions of the Karonga-Chitipa community, particularly for the benefit of younger generations.
The festival, which has been budgeted at K50 million, will be held under the theme “Unity in Diversity – Respect and Justice for All.”
His Royal Highness Paramount Chief Kyungu XXIV is expected to grace the event.
