Peter Falvey Foundation pledges more water projects

An Australian international organisation, the Peter Falvey Foundation, has announced that it will continue providing potable water to rural communities.

The founder of the organisation, Peter Falvey, made the statement in Nkhotakota District after visiting several communities that have benefited from boreholes provided by his foundation.

During the visit, Falvey toured Chiutula Village in Traditional Authority Malengachanzi, Kadamanja Village in Traditional Authority Mphonde, Matelezi Village  and Bowa Village in Traditional Authority Kanyenda.

“I am impressed with the impact of the boreholes, and I am committed to continuing with the project,” Falvey said.

Branch Manager for Dwangwa WESM, Rashid Malandula, noted that the lack of safe water remains a major challenge in the district, particularly for communities living near Nkhotakota Game Reserve.
