People’s Development Party (PDP) says it is satisfied with how the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) conducted the recent local government by-elections in Mwasa Ward in Mangochi and Chilaweni Ward in Blantyre.
In a statement signed by the party’s president Kondwani Nankhumwa, PDP says MEC conducted the elections in a free and fair manner.
The statement further says that MEC showed its dedication to maintaining the integrity of the country’s democratic processes, which are vital for the continued development of Malawi.
Participating in the polls for the first time since its establishment, PDP thanked the voters in both wards, pointing out that this shows that people have trust in the party’s ideologies.
