Malawi Broadcasting Corporation Director General, George Kasakula, says the acquisition of a new fleet vehicles will enhance the corporation’s services.
He made the remarks when commissioning eight brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles at MBC premises in Blantyre.
Kasakula added that the vehicles have arrived at an opportune time as the country is preparing for the September 16 General Elections, bearing in mind the corporation’s crucial role in the process.
“Let me add that we have also procured a state-of the art Outside Broadcast van from Italy, which is already on its way,” he said.
He also took the opportunity to unveil the corporation’s new Director of News, Rex Chikoko, pointing out that the coming in of the seasoned journalist as director will further strengthen the corporation.
