National Advocacy Platform backs Usi appointment

National Advocacy Platform (NAP) says the appointment of Dr. Michael Bizwick Usi as Vice President of Malawi underscores commitment to maintaining stability within the Tonse Alliance.

In a statement signed by NAP Chairperson, Benedicto Kondowe, the platform says Dr. Usi’s extensive experience as a cabinet minister and development practitioner positions him well to uphold late Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima’s legacy while advancing policies that reflect the diverse needs of all Malawians.

President Dr Lazurus Chakwera appointed Dr Usi as his second in command following the death of the Vice President Dr Chilima in a plane crash on 10th June 2024.
