Moyale Barracks have defeated Civil Service United 3-0 at Mzuzu Stadium, moving up to third on the TNM Super League log table.
This is a second win for Moyale at home and the team has only suffered a single defeat to Creck SC in an away assignment.
Pritchard Mwansa, Coach for Moyale Barracks, said the win has come after thorough preparations.
“We prepared very well realizing that Civil Service United would come hard on us. Winning home games is our strategy this season,” Mwansa said.
Abbas Makawa, Coach for Civil Service United, attributed the loss to lack of composure by his boys after creating a lot of scoring opportunities.
Raphael Phiri had no mercy for his former club as he found the back of the net in the 45th minute while Charles Nkhoma scored the second in the 80th minute and Chifundo Dambe scored the third goal for Moyale in 83rd minute.
