Malawi Housing Corporation (MHC) and Al Badder International Development Company of Kuwait have signed an agreement for a joint venture to build 250,000 houses in 10 years in the country.
Branded Project 250, the initiative was first announced by MHC in April 2021 and seeks to utilise environmental friendly construction technologies.
MHC Board Chairperson, Jareck Kachipanda, said the partnership will complement the government’s effort in addressing housing challenges in the country.
Senior Advisor of the Chairperson of Al Badder International Development Company, Abdelazeem Abd El Rahim, said they are ready to implement the initiative and contribute to the sustainable development of the country.
