Media Council partners ShareWorld University to strengthen media training

Media Council of Malawi (MCM) and ShareWorld Open University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening media training and education in the country.

MCM Executive Director Moses Kaufa highlighted that the MoU is a significant step in advancing the quality standards of media education and empowering the next generation of media professionals in the country.

Kaufa added that the agreement will equip students with practical skills in ethical and professional journalism.

ShareWorld University Vice Chancellor, Theodora Mapemba Musamba, said the MoU will bridge the gap between academia and the media sector.

Musamba emphasised that the institution will benefit from the council’s guidance on ethical reporting and responsible journalism.
