Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Director of Strategic Planning Ken Zikhale Ng’oma has urged the people of Dowa West to continue rallying behind the party and its leadership.
Ng’oma was speaking during a rally he held at Mdika Primary School Ground in the area of Senior Chief Kayembe. He said the President is doing everything possible to turn around the country’s economy despite the challenges it is facing.
He assured the people that Malawi is finally winning back the donor confidence.
Ng’oma also urged the people to go and register in large numbers so that they would be eligible to exercise their right to vote.
He further said the President has won the trust of many people including development partners citing the International Monetary Fund- (IMF) which has shown interest in assisting Malawi.

“The President promised to fix the economy of this country now you can see for yourselves these are the results as Malawi is winning back the donor confidence,” Ng’oma said.
Speaking earlier, Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation, Lian Kakhobwe Chapota, urged people in the area to continue supporting various development projects in the district that will enhance their livelihoods.
Parliamentarian for the area, Abel Kayembe, hailed the government for initiating various development projects in the country.
He also asked for the speedy opening of ADMARC depots in the area.
In her remarks, Senior Chief Kayembe hailed the government for its plans to start the construction of Chimwaza-Nambuma Road. She also emphasized the need for all chiefs to support the government development agenda.
MCP is conducting rallies across the country to strengthen its structures from the grassroots after some constituencies were re-demarcated.
