MAREP excites Ntcheu Business Association

Ntcheu Business Association has asked government to expedite Malawi Rural Electrification Programme (MAREP) to reach more areas in the district.

The association’s chairperson Lovemore Kamtsitsi said the areas that have been covered have experienced a surge in business activities so far.

Kamtsitsi said people are engaged in businesses such as barbershops, maize mills, and cold beverages which was not possible before.

MAREP is a government programme aimed at increasing access to electricity for people in peri-urban and rural areas.
